IMW stands for Ida Maria Wickmann. My great passion has always been helping leaders become even better at what they do, and my favourite days at work have been when I have inspired someone to have different reflections or see possibilities they otherwise may not have though of.
I have +15 years of experience from big corporations such as A.P. Møller-Mærsk, Novo Nordisk, Carlsberg, Radiometer, and Colgate, mainly from roles as HR business partner, but also more dedicated to specific HR processes, within LEAN, as well as leadership. I have supported leaders at all level and a wide range of business functions. My educational background is withing political science, supplemented by my participation in the Maersk International Human Resource graduate programme. I am also an accredited Insights partner and have a process consultant education.
My way of working is heavily inspired by behavioural design principles, LEAN, and Agile. I take a practical approach, based on the belief that real change happens in real life, not while looking at a power point presentation. I am open, honest, and straight talking, and I am driven by a desire to constantly raise the bar, even if it is not always the easiest solution.

Stress and wellbeing
Severe stress cases are awful - not only for the persons affected, but also for the workplace. That is why learning how to handle stress and working actively to prevent it through strengthening wellbeing and increasing psychological safety is so important. I have worked with stress management professionally for many years, and I have also been affected personally. With that experience as a foundation, I can help you with:
- Prevention The best way to avoid stress is to work with the opposite end of the spectrum: Strengthening mental wellbeing. I can guide you on how to do this at individual, team, leader and organisational level.
- Stress handling Acting quickly and decisively when signs of stress start to appear is crucial. I can help develop leadership skills and knowledge to handle these situations to prevent the problem from growing.
- When the damage is done I can guide you on how to handle severe stress cases from a leadership perspective - both with regards to the employee affected and the rest of the team.

Insights Discovery
Frustrations and conflicts between people are often caused by individual differences. Perhaps your colleague does not have quite the same need for detail as you, or maybe your employee needs to have a minute to reflect on the problem you have just presented before they have ideas for solutions? Insights Discovery offers a simple and intuitive tool to help understand these differences. Greater understanding of own preferences makes it easier to understand others - and steer clear of frustrations. I can help with:
- Individuel personal profile You fill out an evaluator online which then generates a report. I will provide feedback on the report and coaching on how you can use the new insights in your everyday work.
- Insights workshops The Insights Discovery tool is in my experience most powerful when used in a team context. The focus will be the increasing the team's understanding of own preferences and those of their colleagues to become more aware of how to better navigate in the team.
